Set in an island paradise during World War II, two parallel love stories are threatened by the dangers of prejudice and war. Nellie, a spunky nurse, falls in love with a French planter, while Lt. Joe Cable loves an innocent Tonkinese girl. Songs include Some Enchanted Evening, Nothing Like a Dame, and Bali Ha'i.
